About
Dancing Crow Vineyard's 28 acres of Sauvignon Blanc have been farmed organically since 2004. Located just north of Kelseyville, this vineyard's rich clay soil and lake moderated climate express themselves in a wine with aromas and flavors of melon, guava and stone fruits. The lush texture is a product of ideal ripening and extended lees contact. The grapes were picked on two different dates to achieve an ideal balance of acidity and potential alcohol. They were fermented cold to dryness in 22 days. To preserve this beautiful 100% Sauvignon Blanc fruit the wine never sees oak. One that does is Cartlidge & Browne. Avoiding the extra oak and other types of manipulation used by some vintners, Cartlidge & Browne produces fruity, pure, and vibrant wines that reflect varietals' personalities. Even better, it offers sensational quality at bargain-basement prices." Robert Parker

"If there's any oak on this wine, it doesn't show at all. Instead, the fruit and acidity star. Offers a bright, clean burst of lime, grapefruit, kiwi, vanilla and honeysuckle flavors, and is bone dry. What a great restaurant wine. $14."
