About
Chinon wines comes from the vineyards around the town of Chinon in the Loire Valley of France.
Marc Plouzeau took over the family estate in 1988 and in 1999 began the conversion to Organic farming and the vineyards are now all certified as such by ECOCERT.
Low yields, predominantly hand- harvested at ideal physiological ripeness, and vinification directed towards emphasizing fruit and not extracting tannins.
Bottled without filtration.

Review
2005: "Structured and tight, with iron, olive and tobacco notes leading the way for now, as the core of currant and cherry fruit waits in reserve. The iron note really takes over on the finish. For hard-core Loire lovers. Best from 2008 through 2011. 100 cases imported." 91 points –JM Wine Spectator 09/07
