About

If it sounds a little like we are cheerleaders for this winery, in a way we kind of are. No we don't run around with white sweaters with a big red "K" on them, but we'll jump on the bandwagon for anybody who is producing consistently goods wines and selling them for reasonable prices. Who wouldn't?
The 2007 Cabernet shows the classic plush, forward, creamy fruit that has marked this vintage, although in Keenan World, where the fruit is mountain grown in the flavor zone, you will still get a pretty good lick of ripe tannin in the finish. Lots of lush cassis fruit with persistent spice and mineral tones, you can enjoy this one now for its bold flavors or set it away for a few years to allow it to mesh a bit. Either way, you are getting a lot of juice for the tariff, particularly from this Napa neighborhood.

Review

2007: 92 Points “The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa, a sleeper of the vintage, exhibits a dense ruby/purple hue along with plenty of crushed rock, black currant, black raspberry, white chocolate, and earth characteristics. A supple texture, beautiful concentration, and a long finish suggest it will continue to drink well for 15-16 years. $48” Robert Parker, Wine Advocate Issue #186
