Since 1993 L'Ecole has produced Apogee, a single vineyard blend from Pepper Bridge Vineyard, which highlights the distinct qualities of the acclaimed Pepperbridge Vineyard in Walla Walla, Washington. Over the years numerous vintages have garnered tremendous reviews, ratings and success to the point that it is arguably L'Ecole's most sought-after red wine. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc, this boldly aromatic wine has spicy aromas of nutmeg and cloves, earthy hints of sweet tobacco and leather, and dark fruit flavors of black cherry, plum and cassis. They chose the proprietary name, Apogee, because its definition seemed to reflect all that we were trying to accomplish with this wine….reaching the highest point.
